Tomoko Kawakami was a Japanese voice actress who voiced Misuzu Kamio in Air. She voiced Misuzu in the Air anime and the visual novel.
Life[]
Tomoko Kawakami was born in Tokyo, Japan on April 25, 1970. She made her debut as a voice actor in 1994 as the role of a young boy in Metal Fighter Miku. Her first major role was voicing Chiriko in Fushigi Yugi in 1995.
Death[]
Kawakami was diagnosed with ovarian cancer in August 2008, and she underwent surgery. In a three year battle with cancer, other voice actresses took over her roles, but she could some work. She died on June 9, 2011.
